Patrice Lerochereuil

Patrice Lerochereuil is a Franco-American artist born with Juilley (France) in 1957.

After having followed courses to the school of the Art schools of Caen, it obtains the higher national Diplôme of plastic expression in 1983. It remains then with Berlin (Germany), then in Barcelona (Spain), after having obtained a purse of the Franco-German Office for youth then ministry for the culture.

It meets for this period much artists of the movement Fluxus , (Dieter Roth, Vostell…) it feels near in the spirit. It takes part in many exposures, demonstrations, performances in France and abroad and belonged to the exposure " Germination" in 1982 (Paris and Berlin), " School of the Art schools in Europe" (Museum of Modern art of Strasbourg), then in 1987 " Painters with suivre" , exposure organized by the review of art " Eighty". It east invites to the review spoken with the center Georges Pompidou. In 1989, it leaves to settle with New York and takes part in many exposures of group (Emily Harvey Gallery, O.K Harris, Landau gallery, etc). It carries out then two personal exposures to the gallery " Bruno Facchetti" in 2001 and 2003. Several articles were written on its activity, (the act for art, of Arnaud Labelle-Rojoux, etc). Its work is a multi-media proliferation where are côtoient drawings, paintings, installations, performances, vidéos, writings and sounds.
