Patrice Estanguet

Patrice Estanguet , born the April 19th 1973 with Pau, is a champion French of single-seat Canoë (C1)

After a bronze medal with the Olympic Games of summer of 1996 with Atlanta, it takes part in a fratricidal fight to be qualified for the Olympic Games of 2000 with Sydney. Finally, it is his/her brother Tony who will take part in the Olympic slalom, gaining the Olympic gold medal.

In 2002, at the time of the championships of the world which proceed in France on the site of Borough-Saint-Maurice, it is him which takes again the family torch by gaining a bronze medal.

Patrice Estanguet is now professor of physical education to Nay (Yrénées-Atlantiques).
