Patrice Desbiens (born in 1948 Timmins (Ontario)) Poète, Musicien and author of ditties is Canadian.

Since its first publication in 1972, it became one of the most famous representatives of the poetry of the everyday life. Associated with the foundation of the Editions Speech (Sudbury) and Theater of New-Ontario, it begins its career as journalist and collaborates in several reviews. In 1988, it settles with Quebec. Patrice Desbiens receives the Champlain price in 1997 for an apple pip on a wood stove and the Price of poetry Terrasses Saint-Sulpice-Estuary for his collection the Crack of the fiction in May 1998. He was also finalist for the price of the General governor in 1985 for the collection In the cardiac afternoon .
