Patriarch of Jerusalem

The title of Patriarche of Jerusalem is traditionally carried by the bishop of Jerusalem. This diocese is one of oldest and most prestigious of Christendom, because of its situation in Holy Land.

Today, three chiefs of Church, whose catholic, carry the title of Patriarch of Jerusalem.

The Patriarchs of Jerusalem currently in function are:

  • Its Bliss Theophilus III, Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and all Palestine . Theophilus III is the chief of the orthodoxe Église of Jerusalem.

  • Its Bliss Michel Sabbah, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem . Michel Sabbah is the chief of the Latin Église of Jerusalem.
  • Its Bliss Torkom II Manoogian, Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem . Torkom II Manoogian is the primacy of the Armenian Patriarcat of Jerusalem.

The primacy of the Church Greek-catholic melkite, resident with Damas in Syria, carries the title of Patriarche of Antioche and all East, of Alexandria and Jerusalem of Melkites .
