Pathography

The pathography is a branch of the Paléopathologie which is interested, like it, with the medical study of old human remainders but in the rare cases of subjects where one has of some biographical knowledge or a portrait.

It often relates to famous personalities and makes it possible to disentangle the truth of the forgery in the historical chronicles, anecdotes and legends.

The research undertaken within this framework by Doctor Philippe Charlier and his team thus made it possible to elucidate the causes of dead of Agnès Sorel, the mistress of the king de France Charles VII or to determine the real nature of the alleged relics of Jeanne d' Arc.
