Patachou
Patachou , of its true name Henriette Ragon , is a French Chanteuse , born the June 10th 1918, in XIIe district of Paris.
She grows in the capital and begins as typist then like employee from factory, commercial of shoes and antique dealer. In 1948, it takes the direction of a cabaret-restaurant with Montmartre named Patachou, and begins in the song. They are the Parisian journalists who rename it name of his cabaret. Brassens will begin in its cabaret and will sing in duet with it the title " Mom, papa". Indeed, it was the first to interpret its songs (" The bricoleur" , " Hunting for the papillons" …). And the evening when she sang them for the first time, she proposed with her public to remain at the end it spectacle, in order to discover the author of these songs. Georges Brassens went up then on the scene of the cabaret for the first time and sang " Gorille" and " Whore of toi" (inter alia), that Patachou estimated not to be able to interpret itself.
The first disc S of Patachou are pressed, Patachou occurs on the scene of the ABC, then with Bobino, then in round in France and in the whole world. As of 1953, it is Palladium with London, the Waldorf Astoria and Carnegie Hall with New York, all the big cities of the the United States where its career will be spread out over more than twenty years, without forgetting the the Middle East, HongKong… At the beginning of the Années 1970, it traverses the Japan, the Sweden, where its register Parisian gouaillor makes still and always wonder. As of the beginning of the Years 1950, the Cinema and the Théâtre call upon it, in particular Jean Renoir and Sacha Guitry. But it is as from the years 1980 that Patachou is done more present on the large one and also the small screen, with, inter alia very noticed services, its terrifying “matriarche” in wheel chair in the series " Storms of summer ".
Patachou animated the restaurant of the Eiffel Tower. His/her son, Pierre Balk, wrote I forgot to live for Johnny Hallyday.
