A Passion is a mystery, form theatrical which developed during E and 15th centuries, whose subject is the Passion of Christ . This dramatic kind medieval puts in scene the sufferings, the death and the resurrection of the Christ.

The representations of Passions at the 14th century in front of the Parvis of the Cathédrale S are at the origin of the Théâtre which we know today (Georges Duby, the Time of the cathedrals ).

A Passion is represented with Oberammergau in Germany, in the south of the Bavaria, every ten years since 1633 (during the Guerre Thirty Year old), date on which there was a plague in the village. A representation took place in 2000.

European company of the players of Passion

Under the name “Europassion”, the European Société of the players of Passion was created in Esparrago (Catalogne, Spain) in 1982.

Since, there were meetings with Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle, France), Loudéac (Coast-in Armor, France) and with Ligny (Province of Namur, Belgium) in 1995.

Association also created a review, Levate .
