- the Ploceidae with 110 species of Tisserin S, foudis and bright metallic red.
- the Estrildidae with 134 species of astrilds, Bengali, cuckoo-roller, diamonds, mandarins, etc
- the Viduidae with 16 species of widowed S and Combassou S.
