Party of the European left
The Parti the European Left is a European Political party created with the congress constitutive of the 8 and May 9th 2004 with Rome and whose members are socialist parties, Communists, red-greens and other European democratic parties of left. Its 1st congress " ordinaire" was held with Athens the 29 and October 30th 2005.

Program
This political party deeply wants to be anti-capitalist, and decides for another Europe and to give another contents to the European Union: released from the supervision of NATO, opened in the South, offering an alternative European social model to the rules of capitalist universalization and " free competition and not faussée" , active for the environmental protection and the respect of the human rights, extending the right to the citizenship to all those which live in Europe. For this reason, the PGE decided in 2005 against the project of European Constitution and for a reorientation of the European policies implying a questioning of the Stability pact and role of the European Central bank.
