Parthenos sylvia
The clipper ( Parthenos sylvia ) is a butterfly Nymphalidae.
It meets in the majority of the wooded areas of Southeast Asia. It is a species with the fast flight which has the effect of having a movement of beat of wings lain mainly between the horizontal one and a few degrees in lower part. Between two beats of wings the clippers accomplish planed flights.
Many subspecies were described.
Distribution
Ghâts Western, Assam, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Philippines, New Guinea).
