Parrina
Antica Fattorina Parrina is a farm and wine field near to the Italian city of Orbetello in the Province of Grosseto, in Toscane. The field counts 4.5 square kilometers, of which less quarter dedicated to the production of wine, even if this field represents the near total of the wines of controlled origin Parrina.
The viticultural cultures in this area go back to the Romans, even with the Étrusques, but the history of Parrina finds its origin in the beginning of the 19th century when the girl of the family Strozzi Maria with the Florentine family of Giuntinis. In 2005, the property was always with the hands of Giuntinis.
The climate is typically Mediterranean: winds of sea, summers hot, with the majority of precipitations occurring in spring and autumn.
The cultivated type of vines are the Trebbiano, Chardonnay, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Ansonica among others. The wines obtained in the province of Grosseto starting from Ansonica received AOC “Ansonica Costa LED' Argentario” in 1995.
In addition to wines, Parrina produces fruits, vegetables, Méditerranéennes plants, cheese, honey, vinegar and olive oil. ----
