Parliament of Senegal

The composition of the Parlement of Senegal varied. A long time monocamerist, it is again equipped with two rooms, since the Sénat, removed, has just been restored (May 2007).

The Senate

Set up first once in January 1999 under the mode of the president Abdou Diouf, the Senate had been removed, for reasons of economies, following a constitutional referendum organized on January 7th 2001.
