Parc of Memory is a novel of Science-fiction writes by Maurice Mourier and appeared in 1985 in the collection Présence of the future.

Summary

In a Future very remote where more no Tabou exists and where only the pleasure and the moment present have established among, a person in charge of edition is seen giving a very old Manuscrit in which a whole process is described which aims at reducing the Surpopulation in a radical way.

A mixture of Science fiction and Uchronie

If the beginning of the Romance takes seat in a future distance where happiness seems Master, it derives quickly in the reading from the famous Manuscrit to involve us in one more contemporary time of ours. It is with through the eyes of a young person in charge of the project, and while following its course of the Seventies at the years 2000, which we discover progressively the course of this project which will put at contribution the governments of the whole world like all the influential organizations a minimum.

The reading of the Manuscrit is intersected with passages bringing back for us in the Futur, often to describe a scene of Sexe (very present all along the book).

Finally the futuristic framework seems not very interesting and serves more Prétexte that another thing, the true story being held in the Manuscrit read by the man of the Futur.
