Park of activities of Courtabœuf

The park of activities of Courtabœuf is located in the Essonne, on the communes of the Ulis, of Villebon-sur-Yvette and Villejust.

It is the first tertiary park European, it accommodates 1.000 companies out of 378 hectares, and employs 24.500 worker.

History

As from the 18th century, a farm of almost 200 hectares is installed with the place known as " Court with Bœuf" , of the use of the fields to park the animals intended for consumption on the way of the markets of Paris.

To supplement economically ZUP Ulis, which becomes a commune with whole share in 1977, the French State decides the establishment of the park of activities in 1960. The first company settles there in 1967: AtoChem. Located on a large agricultural plate, the zone allows the construction of campus American. It is what allures in particular Hewlett-Packard in 1968 and Microsoft in 1983.

Geographical location

The park of Courtabœuf is very well served by transport:

  • direct road axes: N118, A10, N104 (Francilienne);
  • proximity of the Airport of Orly;
  • proximity of the line of Atlantic TGV by the Station of Massy - Palaiseau.

Moreover, it is located near the Vallée de Chevreuse (valley of the Yvette) and of the Plateau of Saclay, where many development and research, teaching centers are installed. The park thus profits from this industrial and university environment of international reputation.
