Park of Viry-Châtillon
The station of Viry-Chatillon is a railway station of the French commune of Viry-Chatillon (Département of the Essonne).
The station
The station is served by the trains of the line D of the RER.
Change of zone
Until 2007, the station was in zone 5 of tariffing, before integrating zone 4. Indeed, Viry-Chatillon, on the RER D, is at a longer distance from Paris by the rail than Savigny-sur-Orge (zone 4, and the RER C), but at the same distance as the crow flies, incentive at the time them Castelvirois to be gone by car to Savigny. This anomaly was corrected.
