Park of State of Jacuí
The Parc of State of Jacuí is a natural reserve under control of the Government of the State of the Rio Grande C Sul, in the Southern of the Brésil. It was created the January 14th 1976, made: 14242 ha and is in the Metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, on the territory of the municipalities of Porto Alegre, Canoas, Nova Santa Rita, Eldorado C Sul and Triunfo.
It is made of 30 island S and pieces of Continent, including/understanding Forêt S, Marécage S and flooded Champ S. The principal islands are those back Marinheiros, da Pintada, das Flores, da Pólvora and Mauá. The Faune of the delta is primarily made up of Loutre S, jacarés-with-papo-amarelo ( Caiman latirostris ), will capivaras and of a great diversity of Oiseau X watery.
The whole of the islands of the park has an effect of filter which controls the flow Fleuve S which arrive in the delta at the time of the Crue S, which avoids the floods of the urban area of Large Porto Alegre. The disordered installation of the poor populations on the islands and the consequent environmental pollution contributed to a political reflection on the integration of their inhabitants in their maintenance.
