Park of Niolon

The station of Niolon is located at 16 kilometers of Marseilles-Saint-Charles, on the line of Marseilles - Miramas via Port-de-Bouc, said line of the blue coast .

The station of Niolon is located on the commune of the Rove (Rhone delta), with 5 kilometers of the chief town, in top of the creek of Niolon, dominating the sea and the port of more than 40 meters. Because of its situation, the station of Niolon serves really only the creek itself, and marginally the twin creek of Vesse , from which it is separated by a rock projection which is crossed only with foot. Despite everything, the possibility of joining the downtown area of Marseilles into 15 to 20 minutes remains gravitational, when the way by road represents more than 20 kilometers of a small often bottled road. The customers are thus mixed “cabanoniers” of Niolon and Marseillais attracted not this particularly quiet seaside.

The station of Niolon is currently classified " stagnation point not gardé" (PANG): the building travellers is completely closed, and the service is ensured by the personnel of the trains which stop there.
Since the suppression of the single relation Paris - Marseilles via Cavaillon and Port-de-Bouc ( Fosséen ), the line is more served only by FOR THE THIRD TIME (9 in each direction in week) and some goods trains in transit between Marseilles and the industrial park of Fos-sur-Mer or Miramas, whose oars which evacuate towards the discharge of Entressen the refuse that the town of Marseilles did not find yet the means of treating.
