the station of Langrune was served by the Ligne of Caen to the sea, coming from the Gare of Caen Saint Martin's day and bound for the Gare of Courseulles-on-Sea. This line was exploited by the Railroad company of Caen to the sea.

The station was open as from July 1876, profiting from the extension of the line towards Courseulles-on-Sea. From 1900, this part of the line was equipped with a third rail for the railroad to narrow gauge railway (Railroads of the Apple-brandy) which came from the Gare of Caen Saint-Pierre, via Ouistreham and joined the line with normal way starting from Luc-on-Sea in direction of Courseulles then of Bayeux. In the years 1930, non-stop trains Paris-Courseulles were used by the Compagnie of the state railways and thus passed to Langrune.

Competed with by the development of the car, the line was closed in 1950.
