Park of Gayeulles
The park of Gayeulles is largest Parc of Rennes. Base leisures located at the North-East of the agglomeration, it is a mainly forest park of approximately hundred hectares, which also includes/understands three water levels.
The municipality carried out by Henri Fréville the fact of building in 1967 under the name of park of Wood, but it was opened to the public only in 1978, in order to leave time to the young trees to push.
A whole of close grounds is bought by the city the same year, including one old hippodrome (destroyed for safety reasons) and a named farm Low-Gayeules the . These grounds are then converted into a base of leisure, Gayeulles, which will end up giving its name to the whole park.
On its hundred hectares, are a open Camping as of 1978, a farm for children, open the following year, as well as a swimming pool, a skating rink, a miniature golf and many sports grounds: football fields, of tennis, squash, circuits for jogging…
