Park of Chambly
The Gare of Chambly is a railway station located on the common French of Chambly (Département of Oise) on the line Paris - Beauvais - the Tréport-Seas.

Industrial plant of equipment (EIV) of New Mill
During the First World War, French military engineering decided to install with Chambly field-installed machines intended for the repair of the strategic ways, with the back of the face. It is the origin of the workshop of New Mill, open in 1916, with which associates in 1917 a building site of trackside equipment (Aiguillage S…), intended for the equipment of the new strategic ways and the repair of the lines located at the back of the face. The installations are directed by the 5th regiment of the genius, only unit of the French Army specialized in work of railways.At the end of the war, the Génie leaves its installations, which are taken again by the Compagnie of North, in order to rebuild its ways and installations, which suffered considerably from these years of conflict.
In 1920 with Mill-Nine the service of the wood settles, which was established pre-war period with Villers-Cotterêts. The Railroad having important treated needs for wood, in particular for the manufacture of its Cross-piece S, a sawmill, a joinery and a carpentry are established with Mill-Nine, as well as installations of impregnation and creosoting and sabotage of the cross-pieces.
The installations will continue to be increased with the creation of a Powerplant, installations of forging mill and of mechanics, and, in 1933, the workshop counts 850 workmen and includes/understands a school of Apprentissage. Mill-Nine provides to the whole of the Northern network all the necessary one for the construction and the maintenance of the railway installations with regard to wood, the tools and materials of way.
From 1931, Mill-Neus recovers the activities of the old building site of Ermont and extends on 10 hectares additional, with a gantry of handling, a workshop of Usinage of the Rail S and more than 1000 people work on the building site at the beginning of the second world war. They are 1150 with the beginning of the year sixty.
In order to place its personnel, the Company of North builds in Chambly a working Cité of 160 residences between 1920 and 1930, which will be increased of a hundred of other houses after 1930.
The site is bombarded on several occasions, and particularly in 1944. May 2nd, 1944, more than 1200 explosive bombs and flamers were released by the Royal Air Force, causing important destruction with the workshops.
With the beginning of the year fifty, the repair shop and of manufacture of the material of way of railroad was one of largest of Europe. It extended on more than 90 hectares of which a part located on the commune of the Mesnil-in-Thelle. The site is furrowed of 50 km railways. Since 1966, the site is called the industrial plant of equipment (E.I.V) of New Mill.
Today 500 workmen still work there.
