Park of Albigny-Neuville

The station of Albigny-Neuville is located at 15 kilometers in the North of Lyon on the traditional Ligne Paris-Marseilles (PLM).
Located on the commune of the Albigny-on-Saone (the Rhone), in top of the district of Villevert , it bore a long time the name of Villevert-Neuville , meaning that it served in fact primarily the town of the Neuville-on-Saone located opposite Villevert on opposite bank of the Saone, whereas Albigny chief town was served by a halt with 2 kilometers more in the South. This halt having been removed, the station recently took the name of Albigny, without losing for as much that of Neuville.

The station of Albigny-Neuville is one of the 4 stations of the section with four ways, long 10 kilometers, ranging between the sorting of Saint-Germain-with-Mount-in Or and the junction of the Large-Purple in the south of Collonges-with-Mount-in Or.
The ways has and B (in the past 1bis and (2a)), closest to the building travellers, are in general assigned to the traffic in source and bound for Lyon-Share-God via the connection of Saint-Clearly, the ways C and D (in the past 1 and 2) with the traffic of and towards Lyon-Perrache via Lyon-Vaise (traditional line PLM).

The through traffic relates to the connections of Lyon (Share-God) of and towards:

Mâcon, Dijon, and beyond towards Metz and Nancy;
Roanne, and beyond towards Clermont-Ferrand, Nevers, Turns, Limoges, Bordeaux;
Paray-le-Monial.

Only the connections FOR THE THIRD TIME of Lyon-Perrache (via Vaise or Share-God) with Villefranche-sur-Saône and Mâcon stop at the station of Albigny-Neuville. This service, standard suburbs (23 daily services in each direction currently), will become given rhythm in December 2007 as in all the area the Rhone-Alps. It is envisaged:

a relation (Vienna) Lyon-Perrache <-> Villefranche each hour (or half an hour at the peak periods)
a relation Lyon-Share-God <-> Roanne every two hours (or hours).
