Park Geun-hye
Park Geun-hye is a political woman South Korean born the February 2nd 1952 in Samdeok-dong in the administrative division of Jung-ju of the town of Daegu. Park is the girl of the former dictator Park Chung-hee and former president of the first opposition party, the Grand national party (preserving). Since 1998, it is member of the South Korean National Assembly.
Park is the girl of Park Chung-hee, the former military dictator of South Korea between 1961 and 1979 and of Yeong-known Yuk.
It leaves graduate the Seongsim college of Daegu in 1970, and obtains a license in Electronic engineering of the Université Sogang in 1974. His/her mother dies the same year and Park then holds the role of first lady of South Korea at the side of his/her father until the assassination of this last in 1979. Park is president of the Université Yeungnam of 1982 to 1991. It obtains a doctorate of the University of the Chinese culture in République of China in 1987.
Park continues then its political career while being elected at the Parliament for the first time in 1998. She is elected president of the GPN into 2004 until June 2006. At the time of the countryside for the legislative elections of May 31st, 2006, Park was wounded with the face on a depth from 1 to 3 centimetres and out of 10 centimetres length, creating a dash of sympathy in favor of the Grand national party which largely gained this poll.
At the time of the countryside for the internal primary elections with the Great national party to designate the candidate with the presidential election of December 2007, Park declares that the coup d'etat made by his/her father on May 16th, 1961 was a “revolution to save the country”. Park excuses repression exerted then against the democratic militants.
Park was demolished, on August 19th, 2007, at the time of the internal primary election with 48,1% of the voices compared with 49,6% with its rival Lee Myung-bak.
