Paris my good city is the third volume of the saga Fortune of France of Robert Merle.

Summary

Pierre de Siorac, after having completed its studies of medicine, keep silent in duel the keen enemy of his family Bertrand de Fontenac. It must go to Paris to ask the grace of the king Charles IX , at the time of the festivities of the marriage between Henri de Navarre (the future Henri IV ) and Marguerite de Valois , sister of Charles IX, known as Margot.
Pierre de Siorac discovers in Paris the catholic fanaticism of the population, the hard work conditions of the craftsmen, the life of Court. But especially, it must escape, as a Protestant, with the massacre of the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre .
