History of the chain
Paris Première was launched the December 15th 1986 with 19:00 on the Parisian cable network (channel 8) on the initiative of the Mairie of Paris and the group Lyonnaise of Water, owner of the Parisian cable network, in order to develop a local chain on the Parisian cable. Its two conducting lines are against programming (films diffused with 18:15, 21:00 or 22:45) and the spectacle. It joins even the general sports Palais of Paris-Bercy in order to retransmettre the events into simultaneous.In 1991, Paris Première becomes a public limit company and starts to be diffused by cable out of Paris. The chain gives up its local format to turn to a more cultural format and proposes Sélect' O , a 26 minutes daily program on the topicality of the spectacles and First cabins animated by Marie-Charlotte Lanta and Jean-Marc Froissard. With the re-entry 1993, Paris Première is diffused on CanalSatellite and the Publicité makes its entry with the antenna, as well as a new emission devoted to the mode: Paris Modes . May 7th 2004, the Groupe M6 repurchases the chain which settles in its buildings with Neuilly-sur-Seine in September 2004. Paris Première accommodates Philippe Gildas which presents You will take well a little retreat and ARIANE Massenet which presents Small confidences between friends .
In 2005, Paris Première accommodates Laurent Ruquier which presents the emission That balances in Paris and Priscilla Telmon which presents Grands documentary IMAX .
July 6th 2006, Paris Première was the first chain of the cable and the satellite, following TPS, to propose a service of Vidéo to the request (VOD). September 18th, Paris Première changes preparing under the artistic director of Anne Caminade (Agence Sloo): with the program, an environment purified and dynamic with the colors (orange, black and white) of the chain.
