Paris-Turns
Paris-Turns is a French race cyclist created in 1896. The first edition takes place the May 17th 1896. The race, annual since 1906, is held since 1951 at the end of the saison.
Known as more punt of traditional, the test impressed in its first part roads of the Beauce before attacking, in general, some coasts in the last 30 kilometers. The race very often finishes with the sprint, the more so as the arrival is on the avenue of Grammont at Tours, thus offering a last straight line of 2600 mètres.
This traditional, formerly registered with the calendar of the World cup is part from now on of the Pro-Turn.
Because of his great speed, the winner of this test was the holder of the yellow Ruban with 6 recoveries of which the first time in 1936 (Gustave Danneels) and the last in 2003 (Erik Zabel).
