Pargny-la-Dhuys is an old forging mill built on a " ferrière" (iron mine) and pertaining with 15th to the count de Braine.

The last lord was the count of the Tower of the Pine. Was called formerly Pargny-in-Brie.Lieu collecting of water of Dhuys: the aqueduct of 131 km which was built between 1863 and 1865 feeds the town of Paris and Marne the Valley.
