Parga
Parga (Πάργα, antiquity: Hypargos ) is a locality of 2.500 inhabitants located on the west coast of the Greece, at the edge of the Ionian Mer. The whole of common counts approximately 4.000 inhabitants.
Geography
Parga is to 40 km in the south of the town of Igoumenitsa and to 60 km in the north of the airport of Prévéza. Off the city the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos are which one can see per good weather. The city occupies a particularly tempting site at the edge of a split closed by rock small islands and of a vast sand beach.
History
Parga was, of the 15th century with 1797, possession of the Vénitiens which named it Gominezze (Anchorings). In 1817, it was sold by the English with Ali Pasha and it returned to the Greeks only in 1913. Links to Parga
