Parcieux

Parcieux is a common French, located in the department of Ain and the area the Rhone-Alps. Its inhabitants is called the Parcevins and the Parcevines .

History

Parcieux is a very old commune of the 10th century, it is even mentioned like chief town. Its church was a possession of the metropolitan chapter of Lyon. The commune located at a score of kilometer in the north of Lyon is built on the slopes of the slope of Dombes. It extends to the valley from the often flooded left Saone.

Louise Labé also called Beautiful Cordière , lived there “merry” hours at the 16th century. Musician, writer and Louise poet were Lyons “a feminist” before the letter. It is also known to be committed in the army.

The current church, presents an ogival chorus and part of the nave of the 13th century. Old furnace bridge known as of the Martyrdom (can be 12th century) with low painted relief gone back to 1418, representing Cène.

One finds there also the Château of Barn-White of the 16th century. Restored under Louis XV, it has a main building flanked of four houses.
