Paramount tradition
The paramount Tradition, also called sophia perennis , is the universal knowledge of not-human origin ( apurusheya , according to the expression of the upanishad) from where all the spiritual traditions from humanity result. The notion of paramount tradition was particularly developed at our time and in occident by the current of the traditional thought (cf the whole of the writings of Rene Guénon).
