Parallel Dreams

Parallel Dreams is the third album of Loreena McKennitt, left in 1989.

Musicalement, this disc represents a transition between the first two albums centered on the toothing-stone and most recent, richly ornamented instruments of all kinds. In Parallel Dreams , Loreena Mc Kennitt starts to be surrounded by a troop of musicians. In addition, it is the first album of its discography where the original compositions of Loreena are more numerous than the recoveries the traditional ones. The general atmosphere remains however calm (few percussions) and exclusively Celtic, explorations towards the musics of the world starting only starting from the following album.
