Paralittérature

The paralittérature says textual productions resulting from the " literatures populaires" end of the 19th century, themselves resulting from the chapbooks.

Various forms

The paralittératures are comparatively numerous. One can classify them in great groups like:

All these literatures are generally décriées by the university institution, except with regard to the fantastic one and maintaining the detective novel. One finds in the literature for youth good number of these literatures with a form adapted to young readers.

These last years, one observes a multiplication of the novels paralittéraires published in the form of " transfictions" , i.e. not appearing as such in dedicated collections. It is however to consider that the term of paralittérature is completely debatable. To label certain literary kinds with paralittérature concerns above all entirely subjective judgments. Several authors, for example, will say of the cartoon that it is a medium completely with share and not a literary sub-genus.
