Papineauville

Papineauville is a Canadian Municipalité of the province of Quebec located in the regional Municipalité of county of Papineau and in the administrative area of the Outaouais.

The village is located on northern bank of the Rivière of Outaouais on the edge of bay of Pentecost. It is named in the honor of Louis-Joseph Papineau.

Municipal chronology

  • July 1st 1855: Constitution of the municipality of Holy-Angelica parish during the first cutting municipal of Quebec. The original name is a name of Angèle Mérici.
  • September 30th 1896: The municipality of village of Papineauville is detached from Holy-Angelica.
  • October 31st 1900: The municipality of parish of Heart-Very-Pure-of-the-Happy-Virgin-Marie-of-Pleasure is detached from Holy-Angelica.
  • November 29th 2000: Fusion between Holy-Angelica and Papineauville to form the municipality of Papineauville .
  • January 1st 2002: Annexation of the sector " Almost iles" of Papineauville by Pleasure

In the beginning the municipality was in the Comté of Papineau . It was built-in the regional municipality of county of Papineau in 1983.
