Papaveraceae
The family of the Papavéracées is a family of plants Dicotylédone S. According to Watson & Dallwitz it includes/understands 200 Espèce S distributed of 23 kind S:

Arctomecon, Argemone, Bocconia, Canbya, Chelidonium, Dendromecon, Dicranostigma, Eomecon, Eschscholtzia, Glaucium, Hunnemannia, Hylomecon, Macleaya, Meconella, Mecanopsis, Papaver, Californian poppy, Platystigma, Roemeria, Romneya, Sanguinaria, Stylomecon, Stylophorum .
They are herbaceous plants (some shrubs), generally with latex, cold areas with subtropical.
In France, one can quote the kinds:

Papaver which includes/understands the Pavot and the Coquelicot
- Chelidonium which includes/understands the Chélidoine or “bleaches on grass with warts”
It is starting from the latex extracts from the immature capsules of a poppy ( Papaver somniferum ) which one manufactures the Opium.
The phylogenetic classification of APG II (2003) the place in the order of the Ranunculales and incorporates in it, optionnellement, the Fumariacées and the Ptéridophyllacées.
