The price Médicis is a Literary prize founded by Gala Barbisan and Jean-Pierre Giraudoux on April 1st 1958 in order to crown a Romance , an account, a collection of news whose author begins or does not have yet a notoriety corresponding to its talent.
Foreign Médicis is allotted since 1970 and Médicis test since 1985. Since 1970, foreign the Médicis price is given at the same time as French Médicis.
The Médicis price is decreed the same day as Fémina, with the Crillon Hotel.
