Paolo Tells

Paolo Conte , born the January 6th 1937 with Asti (in the Piedmont, in the North-West of the Italy) is a Italian singer strongly influenced by the Jazz and the Blues.

Biography

It impassions as of childhood for the American Jazz and the Graphic arts, which will be its principal influences thereafter.

In its youth, it passes most of its time, in particular during the war, in the farm of his grandfather. He explains later why its education was particularly favorable not only to the comprehension and the respect of people but also of the habits and local traditions Italian.

Resulting from a family of notaries, during twenty-five years, Paolo Conte was lawyer and Chanteur, driving of face the two careers.

At the exit of the college he would have liked to be a doctor, but for practical reasons he decides to make studies of right.

In 1990, it surprises while leaving Parole amore scritte has macchina , album mixing electronic choruses and sonorities. In 1992, it marks a return to its first influences with Novecento .

In 1995 leaves the album maturity: Una faccia in prestito , jazzy mixture of popular songs, tango, songs of passed and musical comedies. Razmataz confirms this original style. Its last album is Live Arena Di Verona

Its most famous pieces are in particular Via idiot me , Sotto the stele del Jazz and Sparring Partner . Its album of compilation is entitled The Best off Paolo Conte .

It has a brother, Giorgio Conte (born in 1941) which also sings and composes.
