Panzhihua

Panzhihua (Dukou) (攀枝花; Pinyin: Pānzhīhūa) is a city of the province Sichuan in China. Its population is of: 502500 inhabitants. It was founded in 1966 on a meander of the Yangzi Jiang. While the remainder of the country left the agitation of the Cultural revolution, a modern city was built by new colonists attracted by this site rich in ores and the employment suggested by the mining company (currently PanxiGroup). Today, an multi-ethnic community works in the mines with open sky among surest of the country.

In 2005, total GDP was of 24,8 billion Yuan S, and the GDP per capita of: 21969 yuans .

Administrative divisions

The city-prefecture of Panzhihua exerts its jurisdiction on five subdivisions - three districts and two counties  :
  • the district is - 东区 Dōng Qū   ;
  • the district western - 西区 Xī Qū   ;
  • the district of Renhe - 仁和区 Rénhé Qū   ;
  • the county of Miyi - 米易县 Mǐyì Xiàn   ;
  • the county of Yanbian - 盐边县 Yánbiān Xiàn .
