Pants with bridge
The Pantalon with bridge is upwards part of Vêtement made up d´une part d´étoffe in form of Trapèze which is folded back on the front d´un pants. It is used as closing and sticks by a Bouton stroke on dimensioned and to the belt. One finds the decorative ones on some Jupe S.
Origin
These pants were developed in France at the 18th century for the various trades of the sea which required pants whose l´avant presented no asperity (such as buttons) to avoid being caught in the ropes and the meshs of the nets. It generally goes with a Vareuse, like uniform of some Troupes of navy. There exist two types of different bridges, the small (narrow on the front of the pants) and the large (which recovers the belly).
