The baron Antoine Rougé (1763 - 1831) was born with Saint-Domingue, then takes part in the war of independence of the the United States.

He engages in 1792 with the 7th battalion of volunteers of the Haute-Garonne, is elected by it lieutenant-colonel. The Spaniards in the the Pyrenees in 1793 fights - 1794, is named general, resigns in 1796 and approaches the Royalistes. Candidate with the legislative elections of 1799, it is beaten by the Jacobins.

In July 1799, it takes with the Viscount Antoine Paulo the head of the royalist insurrectionists of the Toulouse region. But the two men do not manage to seize Toulouse the August 6th 1799, get along badly and are completely beaten with Montréjeau the August 20th 1799.

Passed to Spain, then to Portugal and to England, Antoine Rougé returns to France in 1802. Assigned with residence with Toulouse, under the monitoring of the police force until in 1814.

Louis XVIII grants the to him cross of Saint-Louis and names it in 1815, commander of Tarn-et-Garonne. Reformed in 1830, he dies in Saint-Orens, close to Toulouse in 1831.
