Around film
- This film marks a stage in industry because it “was completely prévisualisé”, i.e. a simulation had been generated in 3 dimensions on data processing before even as turning starts. This technique made it possible to carry out spectacular plans, where the camera brings the spectator of a stage to another while crossing the floor, or to pass in the handle of a coffee machine to finish in a lock of door.
-
Hayden Panettiere was to play the part of the girl but was replaced by Kristen Stewart right before the beginning of turning.
-
Nicole Kidman had, at the origin, to play the main role but had to cancel its participation at the end of 18 days of turning, because of a wound to the knee which it contracted on the turning of Moulin-Rouge!. Jodie was supposed to chair the jury of the Cannes festival this year but preferred worked with Fincher. In 1997 it was supposed to work with him on The Game (1997) in the part finally played by Sean Penn. The loop is buckled in 2006 when Jodie Foster plays in Flight Plan a role originally written for Sean Penn.
