Pamela Of the Bars

Pamela Of the Bars , known like Groupie of the groups rock'n'roll in the Years 1960 and 1970, is a woman of letters, born Pamela Ann Miller with Reseda, California the September 9th 1948. His/her mother was an housewife and his/her father worked for Anheuser-Busch and occasionally in a gold mine. When it was still gamine, it idolâtrait the Beatles and Elvis Presley, and fantasmait with the idea to meet its favorite Beatle , Paul McCartney.

A friend of the secondary introduced Bars near Gift Van Vliet, better known under the pseudonym of Captain Beefheart, a musician and friend of Frank Zappa. Vliet, in its turn, introduced it near Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones, which led it to the scene rock'n'roll with the Sunset Strip of Los Angeles. Pamela thus then started to spend her time with The Byrds and some other groups. When it is graduate secondary, in 1966, it multiplies the odd jobs which enable him to live close to the Sunset Strip and to entrenir more relations with musicians rock'n'roll: Nick St Nicholas, Mick Jagger, Keith Moon, Jim Morrison, Jimmy Page, Chris Hillman, No5el Redding, Jimi Hendrix, Ray Davies, Frank Zappa and the actor Don Johnson.

Member of GTO' S ( Girls Together Outrageously ), a group only made up singers, formed by Frank Zappa. The group started under the name of Laurel Canyon Ballet Company, and started with first parts of the concerts of Zappa and Mothers off Invention. The spectacle was mainly made up by “performances”, mixture of music and spoken words, since none of its members could sing or play correctly of an instrument. They left an album, Permanent Ramming in 1969, covered by Zappa and Jeff Beck. The group was dissolved by Zappa one month after the launching of the album because some of its members had been stopped for drug possession.

In the years 1970, Bars decides to continue its career as a Actrice and plays in some films, like 200 Motels of Zappa, like in some pubs, and in the Soap Search For Tomorrow in 1974 operated. At the end of its career of actress, it becomes the nurse of the children of Zappa, Dweezil and Moon Unit.

It Marie with Michael Of the Bars, principal singer of Power Station and Detective, the October 29th 1977. They have a child, Nicholas Dean Of the Bars, born the September 30th 1978. The couple divorces in 1991, because of the repeated inaccuracies of Michael Of the Bars.

Bars wrote two books in connection with its experiment of groupie : I' m With The Band (1987) (published in Germany under the anglophone title Light my fire ) and Take Another Little Part off My Heart: In Groupie Grows Up (1993), as another book, Bottom Rock'n'roll: Dark Moments in Music Babylon . She currently writes articles for publications on line and printed.
