Palmiro Togliatti
Palmiro Togliatti (March 26th 1893 - August 21st 1964) is an Italian politician . Born with Genoa, he studied the right to the Université of Turin.
In 1921, Togliatti, which was Socialiste, was one of the founding members of the Italian Communist party, of which he was the secretary during the Second world war and after (1944 - 1964). He was minister without portfolio in the 2nd government of Pietro Badoglio (April 22nd 1944 - June 8th 1944), then Minister of Justice, minister of justice in the government of Ferruccio Parri (June 21st 1945 - December 8th 1945) and in the 1st government of Alcide De Gasperi (December 10th 1945 - July 1st 1946)
He directs the Internationale Communist starting from 1924, initially dependant on Boukharine, he joins then with Stalin and will carry out his orders in Spain.
He wrote texts of propaganda under the name of feather of Ercole Ercoli until in 1926, time to which the mode Fasciste expelled it country. During its exile with Moscow, where it took part in the activities of the Komintern and coordinated the clandestine action of the Italian Communist party. In 1944, it was authorized to return to Italy, where it took again the head of the party and became member of the governments of national unit which followed one another, until the ousting of the communist ministers and Socialists in 1947. July 18th, 1948 at the exit of the Room of appoint it was victim of one making an attempt on behalf of one illuminated, by deferring serious wounds to the head.
In 1956 it strongly influenced the development of the theory of the Polycentrisme. After the repression of rising in Hungary (Insurrection of Budapest) by the Soviet Union, he proclaimed clean a " national way towards the socialisme".
He will be maintained with the head of the party until his death in 1964.
With its death, the Stavropol-on-the-Volga, a city-factory of 705.000 inhabitants which lived by and for Lada in Russia was renamed Togliattigrad in memory of Palmiro Togliatti. With its funerals in Rome took part a million people.
His/her partner Nilde Iotti (1920 - 1999) was president of the House of Commons of 1979 with 1992.
