Pallassovka

Pallassovka (in Russian: Палласовка) is a city of the Oblast of Volgograd, in Russia. It is on the Torgoun river, which is thrown in the Réservoir of Volgograd, to 301 km in the North-East of Volgograd. The population rose with: 17712 in 1989 and with: 16500 in 2006.

Pallassovka was created in 1907 under the name of Torgoun (Торгунь) for the construction of the station of railroad of the same name. This same year, the locality was famous Pallassovka in honor of the academician Piotr Pallas (1741-1811), who visited the area in 1773 - 1774. It accepted the statute of city in 1967.
