The Pallacanestro Virtus Roma is an Italian club of Basket-ball evolving/moving in the town of Rome. The club belongs to the LegA is more the high level of the Italian championship.

History

The club first of all was founded in 1960 by the fusion of two Roman clubs which evolved/moved in lower divisions: San Sheba and Gruppo Borgo Cavalleggeri . The new entity will first of all take the name of Virtus Aurelia , before becoming the Pallacanestro Virtus Roma . In 1971 and the arrival of the sponsors Banco di Roma , Virtus takes its take-off, and reaches the Serie A1 in 1980. In 1983, Virtus gains the Scudetto before allocating the Coupe of the clubs champions the following year. To allocate the Cut Korać in 1986 and 1992.
