Paleokastro is a large borough of Crete (Greece), in the east of the island.
With two kilometers of the sea, which is been windy at this place, the village develops a rich person folk museum to which the majority of the inhabitants contributed: old weaving loom, pieces of furniture, objects of the daily newspaper, clothing which is presented in a typical house of the rebuilt end of the 19th century. Two small parts in this house, separated by an arch.
The olive-trees encircle the village and of very many wind mills mark out the area to the plate of Handras.
The area is favourable with the excursions: throats of “the Valley of Dead” which end in the one of the four major palates of the Minoan art: Kato Zaros; the throats of Hohlahies which make it possible to join the beach of Karoumes.
