Palate of the congresses of Montreal

The Palais of the congresses of Montreal is a Center of conferences and exposures located at the northern end of the Old man-Montreal, in the district City-Marie of Montreal. It is one of the principal points of interest of the international Quartier of Montreal.

It was built above the Autoroute City-Marie, the underground principal artery of the downtown area of Montreal. It is also connected to the subway Place-in Armes and, consequently, to the underground city.

History

The Palate opened its doors in May 1983. Of 1999 with 2002, a project of enlarging was carried out and made it possible the Palate to double its surface. The Palate can now accommodate congresses and exposures of great scale and simultaneously hold two or three events of importance.
