The Amphitheater room 3000

The Amphitheater of the Palate of the Congresses, or Room 3000 , was inaugurated at the beginning of June 2006. This room, of a flexible capacity from 900 to 3.220 places, makes it possible Lyon] to appear among the rare European metropolises to be able to accommodate major international congresses.

This project carried out by the architect Renzo Piano is supplemented by a space of exposure of 5400 m ² (the new forum), 10 new rooms of commissions (1500 m ²), a hotel residence, a hotel 3 stars, a tertiary pole and a public place of 4000 m ². The unit is equipped with an underground public carpark of 1200 places.

In six months, the room accommodated 120.000 spectators and from 30 to 40.000 congressmen, for 11 congresses and 12 spectacles. For the next years, the Amphitheater has 44 congresses in sight.
