Palate of Candies and the Nougat

The Palate of Candies and the Nougat is a tourist site of the south of the Drome (26) to Montélimar. It opened its doors on June 17th, 2005 and proposes the Confiserie French and international through a ludic, teaching and interactive site.

Each room approaches a different topic:

the adventure of sugar;
sugar in all its states in art;
the cinema;
sugar spun
one century of Candy S;
candies and the five directions
specialities of France and the Whole world;
world records;
the Nougat, its history and its manufacture;
largest Nougat of the World (height: 96 cm, length: 1,30 m, width: 1,12 m, weight: 1300 kg (including 400 kilos of almonds, 26 kilos of pistachios, 160 kilos of honey and 2000 eggs for the egg whites)
and finally its shop specialized, true cave of Ali Baba of candies, allowing to find French and foreign specialities.

Vast, air-conditioned, the Palate of Candies and the Nougat - International Museum of the Sugar refineries is in the middle of the village “To the Wire of Time” when are a brewery-restaurant, but also a secondhand trade and a shop of art-decoration which offer one privileged moment of relaxation and culture.

The Palate also has a vast carpark what facilitates the parking of the buses and cars. The museum is 100% accessible to the people with reduced mobility.

Since 2007, the Palate has a large adventure playground for children and his own factory of nougat.

The Palate of Candies and the Nougat it is also the House of the Toys. The toys of his childhood there are found: nounours, headstocks, electric trains, cars with pedals, Mechanic, Goldorak, board games and with the other doll's tea parties, etc… and one let themselves involve in a nostalgic ballade on more 350m ²! There are even various plays to test is even!
