Paksé

Pakxé or Paksé is the capital of the Province of Champasak to the Laos. It is the capital of the South, one of the most important cities in economic terms.
Geography
The city is located at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Xe (river Xe). It is a natural point of access to the close provinces, thanks to its airport and with its bridge on Mekong. It is also the natural outlet of the products of the Plateau of Bolovens, like the coffee.
From the tourist point of view, Paksé gives access the pre-angkorien monument Vat Phu and the Chutes of Khone, marking the border with the Kampuchea.
