Painting-painting

Painting-painting is a term Esthétique indicating the painters and their works whose center of interest is the painting itself, its means and its composition by undervaluing some the direction Symbolique and arts person.

The term appears for the first time in a text of the Philosophe and Spanish Critique Eugeni d' Ors Three hours in Prado . He writes in connection with Velasquez: “Between the painting which tends towards the sculptural one and the architectonic one, and painting very close evaporating in music or poetry, painting-painting . ”
