Page of code
A page of code is a standard Informatique national/local which aims at giving to all national Caractère /local a number. However the pages of code having been developed on national bases, they do not allow the exchange of document between various countries.
The basic standard is the ASCII. As this standard uses only 7 bits (instead of 8), there remain 128 characters available for the national languages. Most known pages of code sont :
